Partner terms

Last updated 2026-10-03

These terms cover the HoursEasy partner programme: how a client becomes yours, what you earn from them, and when and how you are paid. HoursEasy is operated by A.C.N. 640 377 457 Pty Ltd, ABN 33 640 377 457 ("HoursEasy", "we"). You agree to them when you accept your partner invitation.

Joining

The programme is by invitation. We may decline to invite anybody, and an invitation can only be accepted by signing in with the email address it was sent to.

Once you accept, your partner page shows your link, your code, the clients you have referred and what you have earned.

Which clients are yours

A client is yours if they sign up for HoursEasy after following your link within the previous 90 days, or if they enter your partner code when they sign up. If they followed more than one partner’s link, the most recent one counts.

A client is tied to a partner when their HoursEasy organisation is created, and the tie is permanent. It cannot be added afterwards, so ask your clients to use your link or code when they sign up.

A client stays yours if they start on the free plan and later move to a paid plan.

You cannot refer an organisation you are already a member of, and you must not create organisations, or have them created, in order to earn commission on them.

What you earn

On our standard terms you earn 30% of what each of your clients pays us in the 12 months from their first paid invoice, then 10% for as long as they remain a paying client. Time on the free plan or a free trial before that first payment does not count towards the 12 months, and once they have started, a pause in paying does not extend them. A client billed annually earns you 30% on their first annual invoice and 10% on each renewal.

If your partner page shows lifetime terms, you earn 30% of what each of your clients pays us for as long as they remain a paying client.

Commission is calculated on the amount we actually receive, excluding GST and after any discount the client has, including founding pricing. If a client pays nothing for a period, for example during a free trial or on the free plan, there is nothing to earn on that period.

Each client earns at the terms shown on your partner page on the day they sign up. If your terms change later, the new terms apply to clients who sign up after the change.

When commission becomes payable

Commission on a payment becomes payable 30 days after the client’s payment is received, so that refunds and disputes can be accounted for first. Until then it shows on your partner page as pending.

If a payment is refunded or credited, in full or in part, the commission on it is reduced to match. If a payment is disputed, its commission is reversed while the dispute is open, and restored if the dispute is resolved in our favour.

If commission you have already been paid is later reversed, the reversal is deducted from your next payout. A balance that becomes negative carries forward against future commission; we will not ask you to repay it in cash unless the programme ends with a negative balance caused by your breach of these terms.

Occasionally a payment cannot be matched automatically to the right client or amount. While that is being resolved, your payout may be delayed; if it cannot be resolved, that payment earns no commission.

Payouts

We pay monthly in arrears, by bank transfer to an Australian bank account, once your payable balance is at least A$50. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month.

Before we can pay you, you must give us your ABN on your partner page and tell us whether you are registered for GST. Send your bank details to hello@hourseasy.com; we do not collect them through the website.

Commission is calculated excluding GST. If you are registered for GST, we add 10% GST to each payout, and you agree to give us a tax invoice for it. If you are not registered, we pay the commission amount only.

You are responsible for your own income tax and for reporting what we pay you.

How you promote HoursEasy

Describe HoursEasy accurately. Do not promise features, prices or results it does not offer, and do not present yourself as HoursEasy or as acting on our behalf.

Do not send unsolicited commercial email or messages that do not comply with the Spam Act 2003, and do not bid on “HoursEasy” or close variations of it in paid search.

Information you see on your partner page about your clients, such as their names and status, is confidential. Use it only to support those clients and to understand your commission.

Ending the arrangement

Either of us can end your participation at any time by email. Your link and code then stop tying new clients to you.

If it ends for any reason other than your breach of these terms, you keep earning on clients already referred to you, on the terms that applied to each, and we keep paying you as described above.

If we end it because you have breached these terms, for example by referring organisations you control or by misleading clients, commission that has not yet been paid is forfeited and you stop earning on clients you referred.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email. A change never lowers the commission rate for a client who signed up before it took effect.

General

You take part as an independent business. Nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent or partner in the legal sense, and you cannot make commitments on our behalf.

Our liability to you under these terms is limited to the commission they say you have earned.

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
